College Park is a vibrant forward-thinking City with a welcoming community that celebrates our history and diversity and strives for innovation, connectivity, and sustainability (City Vision adopted in 2020).  The College Park Committee for a Better Environment (CBE) advises the Mayor and Council and serves the City by addressing environmental concerns that affect the quality of life of residents.

Through the CBE, College Park has supported policies to reduce municipal waste; established and maintained a permaculture garden that incorporates elements of natural ecosystems; offered workshops on using rain barrels to capture stormwater; compiled information on municipal operations and greenhouse gas emissions; and has prioritized emissions inventories to reduce emissions across the City.
