CDP is a not-for-profit charity that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts. CDP’s vision is for a thriving economy that works for both people and planet.

You can’t manage what you don’t measure. Disclosing environmental data through the CDP-ICLEI unified platform has a number of advantages, from improved engagement to centralizing data and tracking progress. On behalf of the region and its members, the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) discloses progress on climate action to the unified platform. CDP makes all data publicly available, evaluates responses, benchmarks performance against peers and finds areas of opportunity.
