With almost 200,000 public EV charging ports already installed in the U.S., we explore the next phase of charging infrastructure buildout. As government and industry look to meet ambitious EV adoption targets, and charging providers seek sustainable business models, representatives from these and other stakeholder groups will discuss the importance of and challenges around standards, interoperability, and recent developments in the public charging space. How many and what types (DCFC or Level 2) of additional public charging ports may be needed as EV adoption grows, and where should they be deployed? What is the status and lessons learned from the NEVI program, the state of charger interoperability, and ongoing efforts to address reliability and ensure a better charging experience for everyone? What is the outlook for public charging infrastructure that serves heavy-duty electric vehicles?
