Loudoun County will host a virtual public input session on the development of an updated energy strategy for the county. The county is in the process of updating the Loudoun County Energy Strategy adopted in 2009 and is seeking comments from members of the community in three major topic areas:
- Supporting Renewable Energy Development in Loudoun County: Facilitating greater solar and other types of renewable energy use.
- Stimulate Communitywide Actions: Ensuring energy equity and reducing emissions from the transportation, residential and commercial sectors.
- Government by Example: Includes actions the Loudoun County government can undertake with its own energy practices.
