Funding Alert: MEA Resilient Maryland Capital Development Pilot Program

The Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) is pleased to announce the FY22 Resilient Maryland Capital Development (RMCD) Pilot Program. The RMCD Pilot Program is a competitive grant program that provides equipment and installation funds to incentivize construction of microgrids that have completed feasibility analysis and overall due diligence that are at or very close to “shovel-ready.” Projects funded under this program must be comprehensive systems of distributed energy resources that function together to both maximize energy resilience and reliability, manage and optimize energy costs, and enhance community and/or organizational sustainability. A model microgrid project is a past project of MEA’s Resilient Maryland Grant program that has complete feasibility and planning Final Deliverables regarding the proposed microgrid. While this is not required, successful projects must be able to demonstrate substantial pre-construction due diligence.

The application deadline is March 31, 2022. To learn more about this opportunity and to apply, visit the Maryland Energy Administration.
