Funding Alert: Urban Trees Award Program

The Urban Trees Grant Program is part of a legislative agenda passed by the Maryland General Assembly to achieve 5,000,000 trees by 2031. We welcome proposals for tree planting projects in urban, underserved communities as part of an effort to help the state achieve this goal. The main aim of the Urban Trees Grant Program is to green communities and enhance quality of life, human health, and community livability by improving air quality, reducing the urban heat island effect, and mitigating the effects of climate change.

The application deadline is March 6, 2025. For more information about this funding opportunity and to apply, visit The Chesapeake Bay Trust.
