The Montgomery County Department of Parks – Facilities Management Division, is currently seeking a motivated, dynamic, highly organized, professional Environmental Sustainability Coordinator for the Facilities Management Division. The coordinator will play an important role in serving as a resource on environmental initiatives: perform advanced professional planning work requiring considerable complexity, responsibility, and technical expertise.
The Environmental Sustainability Coordinator will act as the primary contact with the external community regarding sustainable practices and provide leadership in the development of a countywide sustainability plan. The Environmental Sustainability Coordinator will provide technical guidance and expertise to other staff working on the Sustainability Committee and action teams and will serve on other committees to better serve the County in pursuit of sustainability and to fulfill the mission of providing an efficient and cost-effective and waste reduction and recovery program to protect the environment and preserve natural resources.
