The Zero Waste Manager has responsibility for the strategy, management and ongoing optimization of Georgetown University’s waste management operations and Zero Waste initiatives; and leads efforts to achieve Georgetown’s ambitious long-term vision of achieving Zero Waste (defined by industry standards as at least 90% diversion rate for solid waste). The Zero Waste Manager works to accomplish goals, including but not limited to custodial services, residence life, neighborhood life, dining, graduation, sustainability, environmental safety, design and construction, and information services.
