The Community Sustainability Coordinator will work with the Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) and the Energy & Sustainability Coordinator to cultivate a culture of environmental sustainability across Baltimore County by developing, coordinating, and leading initiatives in partnership with County agencies and community-based organizations. This position will work in a professional and dynamic environment on a broad portfolio of sustainability initiatives requiring a team player who possesses diplomatic, organizational, critical thinking, analytical and creative skills. The Community Sustainability Coordinator will interact with County staff, consultants, partner organizations, and the general public. A focus of this position will be sustainability communication and community engagement that contribute to our community’s ability to thrive through cooperative climate and sustainability action.
