One Montgomery Green has created the Clean Headwaters program to increase awareness and understanding of the presence of plastics pollution and what we can do about it. Over the course of six sessions, participants in this project will be doing hands-on community science to determine the extent of the plastics pollution in Montgomery County streams. Any Montgomery County High School student from grades 9-12 who are able to commit to attending the six sessions are encouraged to apply to the program. The program is free for students whose application is accepted.
