Did you know that Costa Rica runs entirely on renewable energy or that Japan is preparing to send solar panels to space? Hear all about it at Energy Express, where you will embark on a tour of renewable energy around the world. Travelers aged 5 through 12 are invited to spend an hour with Energy Express at select Montgomery County Public Library branches throughout July. Participants will visit renewable energy facilities in Germany, Japan, and Costa Rica to learn about the world’s natural beauty and how electricity can be generated from sunlight, wind, and water. And of course, our flight is completely carbon-free: we will visit each country from the comfort of our local libraries as per the summer reading theme, “Adventure Begins at your Library.”
