Modeled after the Master Gardeners program, volunteers receive comprehensive training on energy and water conservation and then participate in a variety of service projects in the community to hone their skills and develop their expertise. Volunteer efforts focus on making improvements to affordable housing apartment buildings and providing education to the community. Applications are being accepted for community volunteers – adults new to the program – and student volunteers – high school and young professionals between 16 years and younger than 18 years. This program is a partnership between EcoAction Arlington, the City of Alexandria, and the Virginia Cooperative Extension.
The next training session starts in October 2022. Applications available now!
