ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability USA (ICLEI USA) and ResourceX are teaming up with the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (MWCOG) to support local government members in advancing climate change and sustainability impact through enhanced climate action, budgeting, and purchasing processes. Applications are now being accepted from MWCOG members who wish to adopt a whole-of-government approach to climate action. This includes the alignment of budgets with climate action plans to leverage existing resources to access and manage federal funds. In addition to climate and/or sustainability staff, finance and procurement staff are required to participate in the cohort. Sign up is on a first come-first serve basis through May 6. We’ll kick-off the cohort in June and will meet virtually every few weeks into the fall as a cohort plus 1-on-1 technical support calls will also be available for teams.
